DLO TransDock Micro W/IntelliTune

DLO TransDock Micro With IntelliTune

(Review) – DLO continues to expand its iPod accessories portfolio with new additions. Although FM transmitters are nothing unique, the TransDock Micro adds an interesting feature that makes working with it a breeze. A lot of transmitters require manual setting to pick the best available FM station to transmit your iPod’s music through your car. Not with this one, however. With a press of a button, the device automatically searches for the best station between 88.1 and 107.9 to feed the audio, thanks to DLO’s IntelliTune technology. It just works, and that’s what makes it so great.

Installing the device is super easy. Just connect the dock to your iPod with the included cable, and insert it into your car’s power outlet. That’s it. That’s all there is to it to make it work. Then, press the humongous button on the dock, and it will fluidly search for the best FM station. Once you have the number on the display, get to the station, and you should then hear your iPod music. Additionally, the TransDock Micro will recharge your iPod, while it’s outputting music through your car’s stereos.

Everything from the installation process to simplicity to its performance, TransDock Micro is excellent. We had no issues getting it to work, and our iPod music sounded crystal clear with the added utility. Static interference wasn’t present, and the overall audio quality was solid, not hollow.

At $49.99, the TransDock Micro is a little expensive for our taste, but it’s a good, simple product that should make listening to your iPod music in your car an enjoyable experience. It gets a full recommendation from us, but wait for the price to drop a bit.
