Microsoft Admits iPhone Is Better Than Windows Mobile

windows-mobileAccording to this report from MobileNews, one might take recent sentiment by both Microsoft that the iPhone reigns supreme. Microsoft UK’s head of mobility Phil Moore  made it clear that the iPhone completely changed the rules with smart phones. And More also expressed that Microsoft was asleep at the helm during all of these rule changes taking place. But hoping to add some hope at the end of the tunnel, Moore did point out that coming in 2010, Microsoft will be ready with their next release of Windows Mobile. And with this release, there would be a real balance provided between the enterprise and casual user.

What does this mean to you?

Finally, someone at Microsoft is admitting the problem and based on what I am hearing, intends on addressing the complete lack of pizazz seen with today’s Windows Mobile offerings. As to what we can expect to see in 2010, well much of that depends on how much Microsoft is willing to stop trying to dictate how people should use their phones and instead, take on more of an Android approach to development. Personalize it, man!
