Surfing The Web While Driving A Ford
Most people might think of posting to Facebook or Twitter as they drive down the freeway a bit excessive and otherwise unsafe. Ford, however, is looking to change this with turning their Microsoft SYNC system and adding in-car Wi-Fi. The NewsFactor Network goes on to report that Ford is going to provide the option of an “air card” which will provide select Ford drivers with the ability to turn their car into a moving WiFi access point.
What does this mean to you?
We covered this concept once before with our coverage on GM’s in-car WiFi. And as neat as this must sound to lot of younger users, I think there are two places we need to be free of advanced connectivity – the commode and on the road (while driving). Music and talk radio is the maximum we really need for distraction while driving. The last thing we need is to see accidents from people “Facebooking” down the road.
