Google to Sell Nexus One As “Invite Only”

Google Nexus One news just keeps coming down the grapevine. After the pictures and a video, the latest rumors suggest that Google will initially sell the Nexus One on an “invite-only” basis. We’re uncertain how Google will determine the invite-only status, but it’s obvious that developers will likely get the first chance to actually have a production unit of the highly anticipated device. The good news is that T-Mobile looks to be Google’s official carrier partner of choice as always, and they will sell the unit as is or with a contract. So, if you really wanted to get your hands on the actual phone without hunting for one, you will have a reasonable choice.

Just to add to the existing tidbit, T-Mobile and Google, it appears, will start retailing Nexus One on January 5th. Treat this as a rumor, but with CES around the corner, we’re certain they would want to build quite the buzz for attendees there.
