While Bing is doing great in Microsoft’s eyes with regard to its growing popularity, apparently the folks behind Mozilla’s Firefox strongly disagree. According to Ars Technica, one Mozilla executive feels that Bing is simply not popular enough. The article goes on to explain that it is likely that in the future Bing will be included with Google and Yahoo. For the time being, however, Bing is not an option for Firefox users.

What does this mean to you?

Bing is still pretty new. And even if you are among those who believe that it is somehow offering something new and fresh over the “other guys,” you will need to wait for awhile before seeing any sort of Firefox integration. Firefox is pretty selective about who it offers for mainstream search. And as good as Bing may be, it is just not hitting the kind of numbers yet that will get Mozilla to include it yet.
