Palm Rolls Out webOS 1.3.5
As anticipated, Palm is rolling out the webOS 1.3.5 for Sprint users and not a moment too soon. With Palm’s second quarter results pointing to failure, the release of webOS 1.3.5 is just the fix Pre and Pixi users needed. In addition to these bug fixes, Palm has a new beta version of their App Catalog as well. That, bundled with better battery life could very well indicate that Palm is looking to get back into the game despite a lack of success with Sprint as a carrier for their phones.
What does this mean to you?
Palm’s webOS update is considered by some to be too little, too late. I think the phone has the same problem that the iPhone faces – a lousy carrier. Cleaning up the bugs, providing a better base of users for developers to hit with applications are all part of what Palm needs to get things turned around for the company as a whole.
