There are a lot of hungry Google fans who are anxiously awaiting the famed Google Nexus One to be released to the masses. Despite the wait, Google has scheduled a press event on January 5th in which it is expected to announce the Nexus One. Others still have their reasons to not buy the Nexus One. Regardless of your stance on the phone’s release, most people agree the single biggest iPhone killing feature would be to release the Nexus One unlocked, dependent on no one carrier.

What does this mean to you?

Android phones thus far haven’t been that great. While they have steadily gotten better with improved options, Android as a platform still needs to catch up with its apps, features and for the love of Pete…give us a freaking movie store! Amazon on-demand, anyone? Without these things completed, I will be about as motivated to go Android as I would be to jump in front of a car. Stop duplicating the iPhone and do something different and unique!
