One leak after another, the information methodically revealed itself about Google’s upcoming Nexus One smartphone to the point of Google officially making the announcement of a press event on January 5th. eWeek has an editorial that suspects Google of leaking the information on purpose to build hype for the product, which has certainly happened in the last few weeks. Hosting an event and launching a product a couple of days before CES will crown Google all the attention it needs to successfully launch the phone. eWeek was a little off with the Nexus One before, but this editorial makes sense and is reasonable enough.
