New reports claim Acer will offer significant improvements to their specs with their latest netbook release. Among the improvements on Acer AO532h netbooks will be the Atom N450 CPU from Intel, a 10-hour battery life, an LED-backlit panel and a multi-gesture touchpad. At a mere 2.5lbs, this is expected to be a big seller for Acer.

What does this mean to you?

I’m not so much of a netbook fan personally. However, I’m definitely impressed with extended battery life, something that is happening in Acer’s new AO532h netbooks. As for other additional features, such as the LED back-lighting and multi-gesture touchpad, I think the need for this comes down to personal preference. Considering what netbooks are best at though, browsing the Web in a mobile setting, I would say that it will be the CPU power and battery life that will make the Acer AO532h a must-have item for 2010.
