In previous reports we looked at the Google Nexus One vs. the iPhone, in addition to why the the Google Nexus One is not a threat to the iPhone. Despite these findings, Apple Insider reports that the way people see the Android platform indicates user satisfaction is near what we have seen with the iPhone. The report goes on to to explain that Android’s mindshare is skyrocketing further than initially anticipated.

What does this mean to you?

Android is growing in popularity, no question about it. And despite the things that I see missing in Android, I think it is easily going to provide Apple with a solid competitor once the Google Nexus One is released. Even just with the other Android phones available, we have seen Google Android sliding into a comfortable number two slot.
