Introducing the Kindle DX with Global Wireless
Just launched today, the Amazon Kindle DX with Global Wireless is expected to be a big hit. Amazon explains this DX release will allow users to download digital content from all over the world. Available for pre-order from Amazon’s Web site, the Kindle DX is priced at $489. Those placing the Kindle DX on pre-order today will find the latest Kindle readers shipping on January 19th.
What does this mean to you?
Seems to me that this is just another DX release…with more options for downloading content. A money grab for Amazon perhaps? Maybe this is a legitimate upgrade that requires you to buy an entirely new Kindle? This is something that is clearly open to debate. I believe this is indeed a total money grab by Amazon. While the new global wireless option is nice, it hardly seems like a good enough reason to upgrade to a new Kindle.
