Based on early reports from the manufacturers of the Apple tablet, the release is just around the corner. According to Reuters, AVY Precision Technology, Inc. is said to be the company that will make the cases for the Apple tablet. The scheduled date of case production is set for February, which means we will be seeing a launch for the Apple tablet a lot sooner than most of us anticipated.

What does this mean to you?

Based on how Apple usually goes about leaking their information, this sounds spot-on to me. The real question is exactly at what part of the second quarter for 2010 will Apple launch this “rocket ship” of a product? Knowing how Apple likes to play things, it is all but likely they will let Microsoft/HP launch their products first, only then to proceed with providing functionality that the HP Slate might have missed.
