CES 2010 might not have been the most exciting show this year, but Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein definitely made the headlines with his ignorant comment about Apple and its iPhone. In an interview with AllThingsD, Rubinstein said he doesn’t pay much attention to Apple and he’s never used an iPhone.

“I don’t have an iPhone,” he said. “I’ve never even used one.”

He also said it’s going to sound really strange that Palm doesn’t focus much on Apple. Yeah, no joke! Talk about a PR nightmare. You would think Rubinstein could tactfully answer the question without making himself sound so naive. Given Palm’s financial condition and market position, it would serve them well to pay attention to the iPhone. Wouldn’t ya say, Jon?
