Google Voice Available On iPhone
After Apple rejected Google Voice from its App Store, Google went around Apple and revealed a Web-based version of Google Voice. The HTML5 version of the app can do everything that a native app could do, but it can’t access your local contacts and dialing functions are a little off, which is to be expected. This is the future of mobile Web, and now we just have to wait for hardware companies, particularly Apple, to let developers take full advantage of the hardware, and the App Store could be done with.
It’s evident that Google Voice is an attractive application that serves as a role model for other developers to take advantage of HTML5 as a possible alternative for mass adoption of their apps. The application is available at m.google.com/voice.
