This goes back to our story from a few days ago with consumers really wishing for a $700 or below price tag for the Apple tablet without a mandatory 3G bundle from AT&T or Verizon. Network World did an unscientific survey of 600 participants and claim 4 out of 10 IT pros are ready to purchase the new device if the price is right. Thanks for the obvious statement, Network World.

The survey also found out that 70% of the respondents don’t see the tablet in an enterprise environment. Again with the obviousness.

By the way, the price that Network World’s audience (36%), which consists primarily of technology professionals, is ready to pay is between $700-$999 for the tablet. Talk about a widespread gap. 13% might go as far as to pay $1,000 or more the mobile device.
