iPad Aftermath: Notebooks Vendors Forced to Re-Think PC Tablet Pricing

Notebook vendors are expressing concerns over profitability, thanks in part to the iPad’s rather low price point. DigiTimes reports that PC vendors were admittedly caught off guard with how much lower in price the iPad turned out to be.

Considering the number of limitations that the iPad presents in contrast to a traditional notebook, I don’t believe notebook vendors need to be worried. While I maintain that the Apple iPad is vastly better than the Kindle, I don’t under any circumstances believe it is a threat to a trusty notebook/netbook.
