AP, Google Back in Business

Over the past few months, there has been a substantial amount of drama developing between Google and the Associated Press. Apparently, the AP has had an ongoing series of challenges with trying to negotiate a content sharing deal with Google. BNET reports that despite these challenges with Google, a newly inked deal with Yahoo is done and ready to go into full affect.

What does this mean to you?

Despite Google seeing an ongoing growth in their market share recently, they are still second to Yahoo in the news category. Yahoo has always done news better than Google. So I’m of the mind that Google needs to put their ego aside for a day, then get this deal done with the AP as soon as possible. Putting it off will only put Yahoo that much ahead than Google in the news category over the long-term.
