Facebook Larger Than Yahoo and Microsoft, Google Be Careful

New reports indicate that Facebook is gaining on Google’s traffic fast. The Washington Post reports that Facebook is already noticing a larger traffic bump than Microsoft and Yahoo’s search properties. In December 2009, Facebook has managed to pull forth a strong 469 million uniques, which is up 31 million from the previous month.

What does this mean to you?

Facebook is growing at an incredible rate. So much so that even news deals with the AP and strong growth has placed Google on high alert. So while I remain skeptical that regular people will suddenly drop Google for some half-baked social media-based search solution, the eyeballs that Facebook is able to generate so easily is something Google can no longer ignore.
