Could Facebook become the next Hotmail or Gmail, with their own Webmail program? This is a question being pondered with a recent article from CMSWire. It seems that Facebook is looking to unleash a Webmail client of their own called Titan. What makes this worth mentioning is the rumor that it will provide full POP/IMAP mail support to its users.

What does this mean to you?

Facebook email. This might work for the college-aged folks in the audience, but I’m skeptical that users over 25 are going to care. Facebook is great as a social hub, but I really don’t need another stop to get my email from. And trusting another unknown X-Factor with my email…I just don’t see this happening in my home.
