Windows Phone 7 Devices to Ship in September 2010
There will be no Windows Phone 7 devices at Mobile World Congress early next week; however, sources report Microsoft will have plenty of devices ready to go in September, just before the holiday shopping season starts. Q4 was what Microsoft was shooting for with its brand new mobile OS, and it looks like it will make that date. Device makers are reportedly ready to work with Microsoft, naturally, and the new OS promises a much needed innovation kick that Windows Mobile has needed for a while.
Unfortunately for us, we probably won’t get a chance to play with ready-to-go-devices next week and see what the experience actually feels like. We hope Microsoft has a stunning demo planned to wow the audience. It’s getting boring with everyone talking about the iPhone OS and Android, and it’s about time Microsoft jumps in and gives us something fresh to rave (or rant) about.
