There is no question there could be some great TV content derived from the insanity that is the Twitter-verse. But would it be able to provide enough content for an ongoing series or a single TV pilot? This question is about to be answered, according to the Hollywood Insider. They report that the now famous Twitter antics from “Sh*t my dad says” is to become a TV show featuring William Shatner.

With a full-on 1.16 million followers, I’m not shocked that the networks are willing to take these kind of risks. A show based on a Twitter account might sound insane now, but wait until it ends up being retweeted a few thousand times over the span of ten minutes. Suddenly, we will see Twitter becoming a viable supplement to the medium known formally as TV.
