EU Google Antitrust Woes Mounting

In the US, we can’t welcome Google into our homes fast enough. In the EU, however, the antitrust concerns for the search giant continue to plague any future plans for Google. ComputerWorld is reporting that the EU has opted to extend their antitrust investigation into alleged Google antitrust activities. Clearly, this could put on a real damper for Google, as they already have a huge lead on the competition in this corner of the world.

The article goes on to explain how this antitrust investigation could very well be music to the ears of Microsoft and Yahoo. With the expectation that this will inhibit Google’s ability to react to a Microsoft-Yahoo deal aggressively may have both companies excited. Google is expected to be nearly powerless to do anything about it as they would not want to draw further attention from EU authorities.
