Nevada City Wants Google Broadband

Like most people, I grow tired of seeing various broadband “tests” released to huge communities where half a dozen broadband solutions already exist. This is why I was so excited to hear that, maybe, we could see Google provide the much needed broadband access to Nevada City, California.

CBS13 posted a report today indicating that in Nevada City, many residents are stuck with dial-up, which renders access to modern Web content all but useless these days. City leaders have pointed out that they already have the infrastructure in place, bundle this with their claims of being a high-tech hub, the choice for Google to intervene would seem rather clear.
