For Amazon Kindle, Content Is King
We are already aware that the iPad is expected to be a game changer with its ease of e-book purchasing abilities. But will this alone be enough to compete against the Kindle? According to this report from the NY Times, it’s not too likely.
The article provides the argument that Amazon is king of the content realm, especially with books and e-books. Perhaps even more compelling is that Amazon is working with publishers to give them a bigger piece of the pie from a revenue point-of-view. And if there is one thing we know about publishers, revenue combined with sales will be the winning factor for who they will work with. Clearly Apple and their iBookstore will need to match this on some level to compete.
