Have a new Windows Mobile phone and are excited about upgrading to the latest Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS? Don’t be too excited unless you are eligible for a total phone upgrade. That’s right, according to Wired, you will need to use a completely different phone altogether.

Wired goes on to point out there is likely to be a lot of buyer’s remorse, considering how many new phones will not be able to support the new Windows OS for these phones. Dumb is my take on this as it should have been something totally avoidable. Others are likely to point out the fact there are two distinctive technologies at work here. Whatever. It’s just not a valid enough reason.
