Google Not Likely to Cooperate With China
Clearly, Google is still not willing to play ball. According to Wired, Google is still “weighing their options” before making a final call on what to do next. Despite this, if Google and China are unable to find common ground under Chinese law, Google may leave Chinese borders.
So, what is the real deal here? Is Google seriously looking to be the champion of free speech? Please, give me a break. The real reason is that they are having their backsides handed to them by Baidu. Think about it, why would Google otherwise leave such a plentiful market in which most US companies are clamoring to participate in? One thing that remains largely a question mark is what will happen to the Google.cn Website should Google opt to pack it up and head home?
