In the last few days, AT&T has released a slew of press releases announcing its plans to upgrade its network in the near future across various cities in the US. We’re aware of the fact that AT&T has promised to spend $18-$19 billion in 2010 to improve its network.

That’s great; however, AT&T may need to hurry up with its upgrade as Apple’s iPad, iPhone 4G and other smartphones takeover its network in the very near future. The upgrades include your standard increase in cell sites, more 3G coverage and other back-end technology.
