Top 10 iPad Problems That Apple Must Address
Another product, another eWeek top 10 list. As usual, we’ve taken their list of complaints and summarized them below for you to get a quick idea of what they are saying.
- Where’s the 3G iPad? – Apple will bring iPad WiFi to sale on April 3, but there’s no word on when the 3G version of the device will be available. Apple should confirm the launch date of that as soon as possible.
- The 3G pricing conundrum – they are not big fans of the 3G subscription pricing model. eWeek believes it’s too expensive.
- We need flash – this one is obvious. It’s the same argument over and again. Without flash, a lot of content is unavailable, and it’s unacceptable.
- Displaying iPhone apps – a lot of iPhone apps will not scale full size to take advantage of the iPad’s display, and it will disappoint a lot of users.
- Accessory pricing – Apple should let users know how much third-party, official Apple accessories will cost, such as the keyboard. It’s a must.
- iPhone OS 4.0 – the company needs to assure consumers that iPad will be available for an upgrade when the new mobile OS arrives. Uh, isn’t it obvious that Apple won’t leave iPad users hanging?
- The Kindle competition – Apple needs to figure out how to knockout Amazon Kindle from the fight. Besides, reading books on the iPad is not the most enjoyable experience.
- Connectivity – the company needs to find a way to let users connect their third-party peripherals to the iPad soon. Without it, the iPad is a weak product.
- AT&T’s network – the AT&T network is painfully unreliable, and Apple shouldn’t have partnered with the carrier for the iPad.
- No camera? Really? – lack of a camera on the iPad is a major pain point that Apple must resolve through a third-party add-on.
As always, some of the points are valid, while others are absurd at best. Go on and have a detailed look at what eWeek had to say.
