Apple iPod Touch Third Generation (3G) Review
Apple’s updated iPod touch third-generation (3G) is a blazing fast device that rivals the iPhone 3GS in terms of speed and processing power. Not to mention, Apple has now started pitching the device as a portable gaming console that’s in direct competition with the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS series. Moreover, the graphics on the iPod touch 3G are breathtaking and it gives developers the chance to develop 3D games that are premium quality.
In a review, CNET writes, “The third generation of Apple’s iPod Touch is still the king of the hill when it comes to portable, Wi-Fi-wielding media players. New additions such as Voice Control, graphics enhancements, improved accessibility, higher capacity, and a faster processor help to refine an already excellent product.”
However, “The video cameras found on the iPhone 3GS and iPod Nano remain conspicuously absent. The lack of refinements to its audio quality, hardware design, and video playback leave us feeling just a little uninspired.”
In conclusion, “Though the updates are subtle, the third-generation iPod Touch leaves its competitors in the dust.”
