Is the Motorola Backflip Really a Backflop?

We’ve reported on the Motorola Backflip at length since its release on AT&T. The Backflip, to be fair, is not one of the more impressive Android phones, especially when held against the Droid or the Nexus One.

Now Wired is reporting that the Backflip offers a creative design that provides something new for the end-user. Sadly though, this is coming at a high cost. A dated version of the Android, bundled with sub-par hardware, then connected to a defunct AT&T network is a recipe for failure. Clearly, if you are going to consider getting an Android phone, Wired provides us with a strong list of reasons why it shouldn’t be the Backflip.
