Verizon 4G Handset Available Next Summer
Verizon just keeps pounding away at the ever-weak AT&T mobile model. Not only are they ahead of AT&T on the track to a sustainable 4G model, Engadget confirms that supported 4G handsets will be available as soon as next summer for Verizon’s LTE network. On surface, this is great news, as it will mean faster data access. Sadly, though, there is some fine print to be aware of…
No more unlimited data plans. And before you AT&T fanboys get all tickled silly about that prospect, realize that AT&T has been rethinking unlimited mobile data plans for a while now as well. Clearly, this is a problem that will affect Verizon and AT&T users together. Now we have to ask ourselves – is faster worth it if we’re paying even more for data access that’s otherwise available from local WiFi networks?
