The early numbers guesstimated are in regards to how many iPad pre-orders have been placed so far. Ready? According to the Business Insider, Apple has potentially seen 20,000 pre-orders an hour. If this math is right, then it’s conceivable that Apple could be selling a solid 480,000 iPads per day.

There are a few things to consider here. First, this is basically speculation at best. There is no solid evidence that Apple is actually realizing these sales numbers for sure. Second, the projections made here are based on ID numbers. So the speculation is highly reliable, but it’s entirely possible that Apple is using an ID number system that’s designed to throw everyone off.
