Verizon Nexus One to Have HTC Sense UI

Earlier today, we reported that the Verizon version of Google Nexus will not retail at Verizon stores. That’s unfortunate for Google from a sales standpoint, but maybe they don’t care. What’s perhaps more intriguing is the fact that the Verizon Nexus One will have HTC’s Sense UI. Sense UI, as many of you may know, is the new interface that HTC developed to spice up the otherwise dull Android look.

In an odd twist, it turns out that Google’s Nexus One may have HTC’s Sense UI on it. We know, it doesn’t make sense, but that’s how it looks for now. Could it have anything to do with HTC and Google getting close after the Apple legal onslaught on HTC? Again, we don’t know. If that happens, we’d love to know why both companies decided to package HTC’s Sense UI on the Nexus One. Does that mean the T-Mobile version of the Nexus One will get a Sense UI upgrade as well? Intriguing.
