Unlimited mobile data plans, you know, the ones that we’ve been paying for all this time, are coming to an end, at least with Verizon. Verizon CTO Tony Melone said, “As much data as you can consume is the big issue that has to change… It’s one thing to say all you can eat is gone, it’s another to have consumers worrying, ‘Can I stream this radio?’ That’s what we don’t want.” [WSJ]

That’s executive speak for “your al carte data buffet is coming to an end.” We suppose that’s one terrible way to solve network overload problems.
