Nexus One for Verizon Confirmed, Shipping Now

Chinese newspaper Economic Daily News reports that HTC has started shipping the CDMA version of Google Nexus One to Verizon. The company will reportedly start marketing the device later this month or beginning of April. However, what’s confusing is whether or not Verizon is indeed getting the Nexus One. That information has been up for debate in the last couple of weeks.

Verizon has indirectly declined selling the Nexus One in its retail stores, and leaked documents have suggested that Google will sell the Nexus One for Verizon on its site through the online-only model. We’re not sure if the report is referring to shipping the phone to Verizon, or to Google for direct sales.

In another tidbit, HTC expects to ship the Nexus One to Vodafone as well, meeting the Spring 2010 deadline that Google promised during the Nexus One launch event in early January.
