Just a short time ago, we reported on how Apple was going to charge you about $107 for a replacement battery on the iPad. It seems that Apple has clarified things a bit. Now it’s said to only cost $99. Well, that, and Apple will determine what is an eligible iPad considering they are not interested in supporting iPad battery replacement if a problem is caused by an user action.Information Week was able to shed some light on this, in explaining that Apple has also made no clear indication whether or not you should expect to see a refurbished iPad when sending it in for a battery fix. That’s right folks, send in a new iPad with a battery problem, receive a mystery unit with who knows what kind of history behind it. With Apple set to begin shipping new iPads in a matter of weeks, perhaps Apple would be inclined to shed some light on these concerns? I know I’d never buy an iPad if I had to concern myself on what I was looking to deal with when a battery goes south.
