LG BD570 Review
Blu-ray players, just like mobile phones, are a mixed bag of treats. They seem to have it all if you’re ready to splurge on them once and for all, but for a lot of budget conscious users, that’s not really the ideal option. The ones that are affordable, they hardly have all the features that one would want. With the LG BD570, a lot of those concerns have been taken care of. It offers almost everything that one would need at $250 with great quality.
According to CNET, the LG BD750 offers, “excellent Blu-ray image quality; Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, and CinemaNow streaming; built-in Wi-Fi; plays music, videos, and pictures off a connected USB drive or via network.”
However, it “does not support 3D Blu-ray; no quick-start mode, which makes it feel slower compared with some other players; media interface is overdesigned; no onboard storage; must change the output mode to 1080p.”
In conclusion, “As long as you don’t need 3D compatibility, the LG BD570 offers the same mix of solid Blu-ray playback and media streaming that made its predecessor a hit.”
