Nokia Spending More On CPUs in 2010

With the competition for Nokia heating up, the leading mobile handset maker has made it clear that it intends to do all that they can to remain relevant. To this end, eWeek is reporting that Nokia, along with Samsung, HP, Apple among others, are dumping more of their resources into microprocessors than ever before.

This is reflective of the demand in consumer and enterprise markets to have the fastest mobile devices possible. Despite the global recession, it seems as if the demand for mobile devices and the processors that power them continue to push onward. While the spending totals vary a bit from company to company, the takeaway is clear – mobile devices are driving the tech sector right now.
