Apple iAd Coming On April 7

After a failed bid to acquire AdMob, a mobile advertising network, that Google ended up buying, Apple purchased the next best alternative Quattro Wireless for $275M in January of this year. After fine tuning the ad network and its offering, the company is reintroducing the ad network as iAd.

As Apple states above, the iAd will be “an unbelievably beautiful and unintuitive service for our magical and revolutionary devices.” We have no clue what that means, but it looks like we will learn all about it on April 7. Apple is getting into the advertising business, and we’re excited to hear more about it.
