We knew all along that Orange, the UK carrier, was going to get the HTC Desire; however, new information suggests that HTC Desire, which was available in gray and white till now, will be available in a special edition black color in the near future.

Orange PR Conor Maples confirmed the special black edition for the HTC Desire in a tweet a couple of days ago. Having a different color is nothing groundbreaking, but we suppose from a marketing standpoint, it could play well in Orange’s favor.

Earlier this month, the HTC Desire went on sale at T-Mobile UK.
