Random House Unimpressed With iPad E-Book Pricing

Perhaps publisher woes with Apple will prove to be a saving grace for Amazon’s Kindle after all? Despite all the work that Apple put into getting deals going with various publishers, it looks as if there may be some issues to iron out with at least one major publishing house.

According to TUAW, Random House is just not too happy about the idea of a 70-30 split with Apple. They feel that 30% going to Apple might be a bit too rich for their blood. However, as the article points out, Random House needs to get off the fence and commit. Because when the iPad does take off, this would be one publisher left in the dust if they don’t act fast.
