Verizon Nexus One May Come On May 19 With Android 2.2

The story on the Verizon Nexus One refuses to die as Google preps to debut the Verizon Nexus One in the coming days. The new launch is rumored to be May 19, the day of the Google I/O developer’s conference. At the conference, the search giant is expected to giveaway the Nexus One and Droid Incredible to showcase its latest mobile technologies.

OZCAR believes Google wouldn’t want to give out the Nexus One, which will be more than four months old by May 19. To keep their promise to pass out new technology, that could only mean that the Verizon Nexus One will debut at the Google I/O event. Moreover, as a surprise to the audience, Google may also update the OS to Android 2.2 and give Verizon Nexus One the first dibs at it. If Google wants to persuade consumers into choosing the Nexus One over Droid Incredible on Verizon, they need to have an edge, and what better way to convince them than to have the latest Android version of the OS on the phone.
