We’ve already heard the news about Apple stepping into the mobile advertising realm. Now we have confirmation of something that simply had to happen – app developers must pay to advertise.
The Wall Street Journal explains, it may end up costing as much as $10 million to jump on board with Apple and their new iAd setup at its launch. The breakdown goes like this. One ad view costs the advertiser $.01. Then a click may cost as much as $2. You can see where Apple is clearly going with this – premium, platform-exclusive advertising.
