It’s no secret that Dell has been trying to chip away at Apple’s successes for years. The failed Dell DJ comes to mind, as do a number of poorly put together Dell notebooks. Now It appears that Dell might finally be releasing something that can erase their failures from the past.

The Examiner reports that Dell is going ahead with the launch of their Dell Streak tablet, due to hit US shores by late summer. The Dell Streak is reported to be running Android (likely 2.2), which means it will be in a strong position to compete with the Apple iPad.
