HTC Droid Incredible Review

The Droid Incredible from Verizon is the latest Android device that not only takes on the Nexus One, but one ups it, thanks to an upgrade to the user interface. Verizon users were craving for the Nexus One until Google decided to cancel its plans to introduce one in lieu of the Incredible. Apparently the Incredible is such a great device that Google itself didn’t think it was fair to compete against it with the Nexus One.

CNET writes, “The HTC Droid Incredible is blazingly fast, thanks to Verizon’s 3G network. HTC Sense enhances the features of Android 2.1, and the smartphone features an 8-megapixel camera and 8GB of internal memory. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G are all onboard.”

However, “You can’t use voice and data at the same time. The multimedia experience is adequate but still behind the competition.”

In conclusion, “With its polished design and user interface and blazing fast speeds, the HTC Droid Incredible takes pole position as Verizon’s top smartphone and is now the Android device to beat.”

  • We all know you can't use voice and data on CDMA network, this is nothing new. People continue to say that as if Sprint (also CDMA) allows voice and data at the same time. That comment is simply another way of comparing it to the iPhone which is GSM and does permit talking and surfing at the same time. When will the comparisons stop? The iPhone is quickly becoming outdated and stale as they fail to further innovate keeping an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" sort of attitude.
