Samsung Galaxy S Heads to Asia in June, Froyo Update Coming

Samsung Galaxy S consumers should be excited. Samsung is ready to ship the Android 2.1 super phone to Asia come June. There’s no word on the specific date yet, but it will retail for $1,098. It will be significantly less from carriers under different plans. Although the phone will initially launch with Android 2.1, update to Android 2.2 Froyo will be coming soon, Luke Lee, Senior Product Manager, Mobile Phones, Samsung said in an interview to CNET. Just like everyone else, there’s no word on when the update will come.
