95% iPhone Apps Approved in 7 Days
Another jab at Google. If as a developer, you’ve complained about an uncertain approval process and a delay in communication from the app store review team, Apple disagrees strongly. Apple approves 95% of the apps to the App Store in 7 days, Apple CEO Steve Jobs confirmed at WWDC 2010 earlier today. He also said that the company gets 15,000 app approval requests a week in 30 languages, which makes the process look fairly efficient. For those of you complaining about Android’s open standards, we like the 95% approval rate, to be honest. We’d be willing to give Apple leeway with the other 5% for keeping the App Store nice and clean. At least there aren’t thousands of wallpapers masquerading as apps like the way it is in the Android Market.
