Consider this. How would you react to creating, promoting and then uploading an app to the Android Marketplace…only to have it vanish a short time later after it was approved? If this happened on the iPhone, one might surmise that “Big Daddy” Steve Jobs was playing master of the universe again. But no, in this instance, it’s happened on the Android platform. What gives?

ZDNet Asia reports of an incident that likely had some Android app developers, scrambling for cover to try and determine why their apps were disappearing from the Android Marketplace. Things were scary enough that many developers found themselves having to resubmit their applications to the Android Marketplace. Luckily this was merely a bug and Google has since fixed the problem. What remains a bit of a mystery however, is trying to determine whether something like this could happen again?
