Apple iAds is a $120M a Year Business Already
Apple iAds mobile advertising platform is a $120MM a year business already, Apple said at WWDC 2010 early last week. The company has signed up $60MM worth of advertising business for 2H, 2010. That’s only for the second half of the year. Next year, Apple will hit at least $120MM if the numbers remain consistent. Not to mention, this is all premium advertising. This should make developers delighted even if AdMob isn’t a viable choice for a competitor anymore. The company said it has signed ad deals with brands like Nissan, Citi, Unilever, AT&T, Chanel, GE, Liberty Mutual, State Farm, Geico, Campbell’s, Sears, JC Penny, Target, Best Buy, Direct TV, TBS, Disney and many more. That’s quite a list.
