Activity on e-book readers has hardly subsided because of the success of the iPad, among other tablets. Rather, e-book readers have become more popular due to the new press on their functionality. And it clear that one Kindle competitor, anticipates exploiting the opportunity.
TechCrunch reports that the Barnes & Noble NOOK is releasing a wifi edition, to offer an alternative to their existing option. Starting at $149, the idea of buying a NOOK doesn’t sound like a bad idea for the potential buyer either. Those wanting the 3G edition however, will need to pony up $199 though.
